Rogers' Family || Townsville Family Photographer
I feel like Sunday's and families just go together. I was privileged enough to spend my Sunday afternoon with this family on the banks of the Ross River in Townsville and it could not have been more perfect. About an hour before I was set to leave for the session dark clouds loomed and I doubted that the session would even be able to go ahead, but I need not worry.
I was met by the most devoted and loving family, with two beautiful daughters who have THE most incredible blue eyes (and that's saying something since I have two blue-eyed babes at home!). We fed turtles, the fish were unseen that day, had a picnic, blew bubbles and even scooted. The weather (as already mentioned) was perfection, cool for a Townsville summers afternoon but still with the glorious sky and yummy golden sunshine, ideal for spending outdoors.
Dad works away but is fortunate enough to come home to a house full of girls who adore him and the feeling is mutual, he is wrapped around their little fingers (can you blame him?). Mum, who has her hands full during Dad's absence is patient, kind and incredibly warm-hearted. The eldest of the girls, a three-year-old with boundless energy and character, took no time to show her cheeky side or her love for her sister. Not once did this little pocket rocket stop moving, Mum and Dad are going to have their hands full as she grows with her adventurous demeanor and Scandinavian beauty (thanks Mum). Finally the baby of the family, the one who fell in love with me from the start and never stopped smiling or absorbing the world around her, what a delightful addition to this already extraordinary tribe.
I was blessed to have a brief glimpse into their life and cherished every moment of it, so much so my husband rang wondering where I was (oops!). I left the session with my heart full and I thank them for our time together.
