Gus || A Townsville Newborn || Townsville Newborn Photographer
It was a bit of a whirlwind on my end to get to meet baby Gus. I had a wedding the night before, only crawling into bed at midnight but I slept wonderfully and woke up feeling very refreshed and excited for this session, this calmness should have been my first warning.
About an hour before my session I remembered, that in my rush to go to bed last night, I had forgotten to charge my camera batteries. This was easily fixed. Then as I was ready to leave and put the address in my phone I realised that I didn’t actually have an address, so I quickly messaged Gus’ Mumma, fingers crossed that she would reply immediately - she did! Yay, finally I was off. But my champion of a morning did not end there. When I was 5 min away my phone, which I thought had been on the charge (plugged in, not turned on) went flat. I plugged it in to my car charger and hoped that it would charge in time, I knew where the suburb was but not the actual house. In the midst of all this chaos I still had luck on my side as my phone came on at the right time. I turned down the street, saw the park I had been told about and knew I was in the right area. I jumped out of my car, to walk back a couple of houses only to find that I had turned one street to early and was on the wrong side of the park 🤦♀️. Back into my car, drive around the pack and finally … I pull up at the right house this time.
To say that after all this I was feeling a little disorganised and frazzled is a bit of an understatement, this is not my usual, however, after entering this charming Townsville Queenslander (which is decorated perfectly might I add) I immediately chilled, after all how could I not when baby Gus was out for the count and not at all interested in waking up for me.
This is one lucky boy, with two Mummas that are perfectly infatuated with him and not at all stressed by life with a newborn. I was truely in awe of the love that surrounded this new family and I am immensely grateful that I was able to witness this.
Baby Gus, thank you for having me in your home, I can’t wait to watch you grow.
