I adore living in remote North Queensland with its soulful essence but you’ll find me regularly roaming the rugged landscape to Townsville where I create art with lovers + mothers out of everyday moments.

Camilla is without a doubt, a one of a kind type of artist...
Her work stood out to me as soon as I first caught a glimpse of it, for the way she captured and evoked a raw and honest emotion.

After meeting in high school and then spending the last 15 years adventuring together this pair decided to begin a new chapter of their lives and give their worshipped pooch a friend. Then Covid-19 hit and as they witnessed the chaos the world tumbled into, Pip and Ben agreed that maybe this was not the best time to create new life, however, as fate would have it this baby had already chosen them. In home sessions will always hold a big piece of my heart because they tell such an intimate story of your life. There is always hesitation to invite someone new into your home but to have to them come to take photos adds another layer to that. From my perspective I both understand it but also feel it is unnecessary. As much as I loved this little Ayr abode, it was the family I loved more and it was the family I will remember more because that is what is most important.
On September 11, Bridget and Andrew wed on her family’s mango farm in the Burdekin. Bridget and Andrew met in Townsville at the end of 2012, however it wasn’t love at first sight and it wasn’t until another meeting later that they formed a connection and got to know one another. Taking notes from their Mediterranean heritage the simple, yet elegant styling transformed this working mango farm in to a spectacular backdrop for this wedding where guests enjoyed each others company, celebrating the newly weds and dancing the night away.
Because moments don’t last, memories fade and sometimes you need to return to a time long gone.
Because in an age where we all have cameras so many of us don’t have those gut punch images that transport you to the past.
At any given point I want you to be able to time travel based purely on a photograph.
Let me gift this to you. The gift of memories, of moments, but let me warn you, there is an expiry because time waits for no one.
An afternoon at Pallarenda was a little different than normal but we still got to play, explore and enjoy a little treat or two. In the time since these photos were captured, new words will have been learnt, new adventures undertaken and little personalities will have grown and adapted in subtle (or not so subtle ways) but now there will always be this moment and what a beautiful one it is.
