On September 11, Bridget and Andrew wed on her family’s mango farm in the Burdekin. Bridget and Andrew met in Townsville at the end of 2012, however it wasn’t love at first sight and it wasn’t until another meeting later that they formed a connection and got to know one another. Taking notes from their Mediterranean heritage the simple, yet elegant styling transformed this working mango farm in to a spectacular backdrop for this wedding where guests enjoyed each others company, celebrating the newly weds and dancing the night away.

St Mary’s by the Sea is the epitome of Port Douglas weddings and I could not think of a better place to be wed than in heritage listed church by the waterfront. Tom, who made great time in getting dressed and looked the part in bow tie and suit, was already waiting when I arrived. It was only moments later when the beauty of the day arrived and the ceremony could begin. Anna, the celebrate, told a story of Tom and Kate’s life long connection and how after meet at age 10 their friendship grew into the wonderful, loving connection they now have and after all this time the day ended with a new Mr and Mrs.

First of all there was a cyclone - in May! The beach side wedding was a little windier than anticipated and what was supposed to be an open air reception became a little cozier inside a gazebo. It was all unexpected and a little unplanned but it was pulled off perfectly and you would never have known it.
