Jacinta and Thomas had originally planned a big September wedding, however, 2020 had different ideas. We got together and did their engagement shoot (which you can see here) and at that point they were planning to postpone the wedding until the same time next year. Well as I’m sure you can already tell they couldn’t wait and on a picture perfect day in November, these two were wed.
Read MoreWe weren’t supposed to do this shoot until December but Stevie made her arrival a little earlier than planned but in perfect timing and at a mere one week old, I was in Townsville. Pip told me that “she sleeps 21 hours a day, so if she doesn’t change in a day, these photos will be a breeze” so of course in the true fashion of child, Stevie did not sleep once in the whole 90 minutes I was there, however, she only made one teeny tiny little squeak.
Read MoreWhen I look through these photos I see the same tenderness I felt when I first read Jovana earnest expression of love. I see an affectionate six year old boy who’s depth is beyond his years and will serve him well as he grows. I see a very cheeky girl who’s smile, laugh and personality is so affectionate you can’t help but fall in love. But most importantly I see a Mumma who’s devotion is palpable. I hope you can see that too, then my job will be complete.
Read MoreThrough sudden and unexpected changes in Hayley and the kid’s lives she has come to understand the importance of photographs and memories. Both kids are in their early teenage years so I understand their apprehension in wanting to join along with Mum’s requests but as I look through these photos now I know that given time they will also understand the investment that has been made.
Read MoreAt just two weeks new Marlo could not have been more perfect. He’s growing rapidly and his love of food means that his cheeks are filling out perfectly (chubby cheeks are a fine feature on a baby). Of course being the third child does not come without its drama, he is fiercely (sometimes a little too much so) loved by his two older siblings and there is no such thing as a quiet nap, though Mumma is always there to protect him.
Read MoreI am pretty certain that there could be no better location. Cheriese and her three boys spent the day revelling in the spring time warmth at Alma Bay, soaking up the joys of salt water and sand. It was early afternoon when I joined them and the bay was mostly ours, the sea breeze cool and refreshing and the sun rays warm and golden. We climbed rocks and explored their hidden secrets. There were many cuddles and much love shared. I learned of a mother’s love that would move mountains and raise glorious men. The boys outwardly showed that photos were not their thing but occasionally through this facade I would glimpse the excitement of being up to record their mother’s memories*.
Read MoreAfter meeting in high school and then spending the last 15 years adventuring together this pair decided to begin a new chapter of their lives and give their worshipped pooch a friend. Then Covid-19 hit and as they witnessed the chaos the world tumbled into, Pip and Ben agreed that maybe this was not the best time to create new life, however, as fate would have it this baby had already chosen them. So here we are, 30 weeks later and into their most memorable year to date.
Read MoreThe number of times we have tried to do this engagement session was starting to get ridiculous, so even when the weather chose not to co-operate, we went ahead anyway. After all being native to the Atherton Tablelands, drizzly weather is something that Jacinta and Thomas are more than used to.
